Advice

Maintenance advice
Check the condition of your scooter before and after each use, and make sure there is no abnormal play, cracks, or sharp edges. The wheels and bearings are wearing parts. Remember to check them and change them if necessary. It is possible to repair and prolong the lifespan of your scooter with parts that can be ordered through the Workshop at your Decathlon store. Find all our videos "how to maintain your Town scooter" on: youtube.com/oxelo.

Additional information

Are there any particular safety precautions to take when using the Town 9?
You should always wear protective equipment (helmet, knee pads and elbow pads) when scootering. Most serious accidents take place during the first few months of use: Take the time to learn the basics of use to master speed and braking in any emergency situation and whatever the weather conditions (particularly on wet terrain).
How do you fold/unfold the scooter?
Hands-free and in one second! What's the trick? Simply stand opposite your scooter with the frame straight in front of you and press the pedal, and your Town 9 is folded in less time than it takes to read the instructions.
Is the Oxelo Town 9 scooter suited to long journeys around town (2 to 5 km)?
Yes! The rubber grip on the deck and the ultra-comfy ergonomic handles with palm rests help reduce vibrations for a more pleasant ride. The TOWN 9 adult scooter also has a bell so that you can make yourself heard. Last but not least, the handlebar is slightly forward for better steering control.
What is the glide quality like on the Oxelo Town 9?
We have equipped this adult scooter with large 200 mm HIGH BOUNCE PU rubber wheels for high-performance scootering. A large wheel makes it easier to build up speed with minimum effort. The ABEC 7 bearings are very high quality and, by making it easier for you to push yourself along, limit fatigue.
How much does the Town 9 weigh?
6.4 kg making it easy to move in "trolley" mode: fold it up and drag it along like a suitcase.
What is the maximum weight the Town 9 can take?
100 kg.
What safety precautions should you take with the Town 9 scooter?
We recommend checking your scooter before and after each ride to ensure that there is no abnormal play and no cracks or sharp edges.
What should you do if there's play in the handlebar?
What with bumps in the road, repeated jarring and vibrations, it's normal for certain parts to come loose. You can have all of the screws tightened at your local Decathlon workshop or do so yourself with the Allen keys provided (designed to fit all of the scooter's parts).
How are our products tested?
All of our scooters have been lab tested. These tests check compliance with the European standards for scooters, as well as looking for wear. For example, one of our tests involves a machine folding the scooter 10,000 times to check its folding system. As well as lab tests we do field tests - some measured and others based on the testers' opinions - to really put the product through its paces. The result is a tested, proven product.
How should you maintain your scooter?
The wheels and bearings are wearing parts. Remember to check them and change them if necessary. You can repair and extend the lifespan of your scooter with spare parts that can be ordered through your local Decathlon store's Workshop.

Wreszcie można docenić zalety mieszkania na równin

Zawsze chciałam dojeżdżać do pracy napędzanym siłą mięśni środkiem lokomocji.
w tak bogatej wersji) to fenomen stricte miejski;

- dodatkowy hamulec w kierownicy zapewnia poczucie bezpieczeństwa i pełnej kontroli nad

ze stresem);

okiem na stragan i ruszyć dalej – pełna swoboda;

- system składania i rozkładania świetnie działa, a ręce pozostają czyste ;-)

- szeroki, miękko wyściełany perforowanym tworzywem podest doceniłam przy mocnym zmęczeniu

nóg, jednak jest on też bardziej podatny na zabrudzenia niż podest zupełnie płaski („łapie” trawę i

liście spod obuwia);

Cordialement.

    Not sturdy, not easy to fold... Death trap?!?

    Bought this with high hopes.after using it for a 1 mile commute on mainly low declines. Any kind of speed and the thing rattles and wobbles,it doesn't feel safe and the back break is almost pointless. Lots of strange noises. Doesn't feel safe. The folding mechanism is rubbish as you have to whack the plastic lock down which damages and grinds it right down. Why they couldn't use metal I don't know. I've thrown the box, had I have known I wouldn't have bought it and invested the money in a city bike. Can't get to Crawley often so stick with it. Last purchase I'll make from decathlon

    Brand response :

    Awesome scooter

    I saw so many older people using scooters in Europe so when I returned to Australia I decided to buy one. I am a 65 year old man in reasonable health. I am still working part time and thought that using the scooter to get to the ferry to go to work would be good exercise. I now peddle 2km to work. My co-workers thought I was crazy...but I love it.
    The scooter is really well made and so easy to use and store. I love it
