Advice

Maintenance advice
Freestyle scootering is an extreme sport (even for a beginner). Our OXELO MF range is designed for this type of use; they are sturdy but not indestructible. It is therefore important to check that the steering is properly tightened (tighten if necessary) and there are no cracks or hairlines (replace the worn part if necessary) before, during and after use: http://www.decathlon.fr/C-313849-accessoires-freestyle-et-customisation.
Storage Tips
Store in a dry place out of the sun.
RESTRICTED USE
Maximum load: 100 kg.

Additional information

What is the difference between a freestyle scooter and a "normal" scooter?
The differences between a freestyle scooter and a classic scooter are similar to those between a BMX bike and a city bike. A freestyle scooter has wider handlebars and smaller wheels (making it easier to handle). Its weight is also different (it is lighter) and it is more manoeuvrable. Since the aim is to do tricks, the handlebars can do a full turn, for example. Freestyle scooters are also more rigid and sturdy.
Choosing the right size freestyle scooter
To choose the right size freestyle scooter, stand on it and check that the handlebar comes up to hip level, your arms are stretched out and your back straight.
Deck
Painted, 6061 T6 aluminium deck. 3 channel structure with 4 reinforced rails. Dimensions: 110 x 500 mm (4"x19").
T-Bar (handlebar)
One piece steel T-bar. Dimensions: diameter = 31.8, H = 510 mm, L = 420 mm. T-bar/deck angle: 82.5°. Overall height: 770 mm
Fork
Iron reinforced fork ONLY compatible with 100 mm diameter wheels (integrated spacer system in the fork).
Headset
1/1"8 Threaded VP headset. Standard compression system (SCS).
Collar clamp
3 screw collar clamp. Inner dimensions: Ø31.8 mm.
Wheels
100 mm diameter rubber, nylon core, PU 88A wheels mounted on ABEC5 608ZZ bearings.
Why are there different wheel sizes?
100, 110 or 120 mm? The bigger the wheel's diameter, the more stability the rider will have, which helps them go faster... The downside is the weight. A bigger wheel will be heavier and harder to manoeuvre when doing tricks. The wheel size should therefore be chosen based on your aims.
Brake
Spring brake.
The scooter complies with EN 14619. What does the standard cover?
The EN 14619 standard defines the safety requirements and test methods for roller sports equipment.

    Looks great, good price, but.......

.......Rattle rattle rattle. Doesn’t rattle with an adults weight on it but with a child it makes a lot of noise. Hard to hear if the sound is front/back, wheels/brake.
On the plus side, I know my child is nearby when I’m in the garden due to the noise.
Shame, because it’s the best looking scooter on the market.

    very good

My son tried in the shop and basically we couldn't leave without it. He loves, he's been on it pretty much daily since he got it. It's sturdy, well build, glides well and it looks nice! He actually got 2 of these - one at mine and the other at his dad's so he's never without it. Definitely recommended as an entry level stunt scooter.

This product has been brought twice....

The first went wellies lost I don’t know but we had to run and replace it.... this is fab. If u have boys u know it’s a pile of junk metal in the garden as they change from fast bikes to Skateboards to stunt scooters which ain’t cheap. We live in toyrus and the quality was crap 4times round. I’ve not had any problems since 2017 when purchased. Great product Great staff Great prices. Chow for now.x

    Un buen patinete para iniciarse

Es un patinete de freestyle con una altura perfecta para los niños que quieren iniciarse. Ademas tiene un muelle en el freno para facilitar el frenado y es bastante fuerte para que aguante los saltos y golpes.
