What level of protection does the Oxelo MF 7 helmet provide?
All of our helmets are certified according to EN 1078, a European standard governing the requirements and test methods for helmets that will be worn by cyclists, skateboarders, etc. The shape of the MF5 helmet (covering the back of the neck and ears) is designed for doing sports on asphalt.
When should you replace a helmet?
A helmet is designed to protect the head in the event of an impact. A single impact. In the event of a fall, even if the helmet appears undamaged, it must be replaced. It could be weakened or have cracks that are not visible, which means it will not longer provide its full level of protection. Old helmets should also be replaced. After five years, certain materials can break down with age, especially if the helmet is stored in a cold and/or humid environment.
