You're nearly there! You're feeling more and more at ease on your board... With the Oxelo tutorials, you can now skate and turn, so falling over or jumping off your board to stop is no longer realyy the best option to brake.

Before tackling this trick, don't forget to put on some protective gear. Besides protecting you effectively, it'll help you feel more at ease as you learn so you'll have way more confidence going into the trick.

HOW DO YOU BRAKE ON A SKATEBOARD?

There are several ways of braking on a skateboard but most of them are a bit tricky for beginners (you'll get there soon though, don't worry ;-)). In the meantime, the best way of braking on your skateboard is by dragging your back foot (foot that pushes the board) along the floor and gradually slowing down. If you're feeling confident, you could also try to do a tail stop. This technique involves pressing down on the back of your board and dragging the tail along the ground. But be careful because this technique is pretty advanced.
